Re;       Wildland Fires

Dear Chief,

As you know by now we have issued a Ban on Outdoor Burning in Tarrant County.  When I spoke with the Texas Forest Service this last Tuesday I was told that they were in the process of sending personnel to our county to assess the conditions in order to determine what type of equipment they will need to station in our area.

I need your help in gathering information on all wildland fires that occur in you area on a weekly basis.  This too will assist us and the TFS in their equipment needs for our area. 

I have attached a copy of a Wildland Fire Report that I need your department to fill out and either email or fax to my office each Monday.

I have also been told by the TFS that they are working on stationing two National Guard Helicopter in our area.   As soon I hear that they have been stationed in this area I will contact you with the proper notification to request their services.

Once again, please see that your reports or filled out and return to our office.
